Expansive vistas of distant mountain ranges and high desertscapes surround this newly built, hacienda style home, situated above the tiny pueblo of Atotonilco, home to the historic Santuario de Atotonilco, religious destination of pilgrims and tourists alike.

Just 20 minutes from the hacienda is historic San Miguel de Allende. This 16th century "La Joya de Las Colinas" - (the jewel of the hills), is home to thousands of retirees, artists, musicians and writers from around the world.

It is visited annually by countless snowbirds and others escaping the intense heat of the U.S. desert southwest. Film festivals and music festivals entertain the year round, and all the excitement is a mere twenty-minute drive from Atotonilco.

Both the city and pueblo have recently been designated World Heritage Centers by UNESCO and have undergone extensive beautification and renovation.

The Casa del Cielo walls enclose 8,000 square feet of courtyard with fountain, covered patios, garden and yard. There are four buildings with 6,000 sq. feet of living space:

ONE. Separate casita with two entrances, fireplace, large shower and spacious walk-in closet

TWO. Large stone kitchen and dining room with vaulted ceiling, fireplace, large refrigerator with separate freezer of equal size and six burner stove with flat grill. An exterior half-bath with outside entrance is attached.

THREE. Living room (Sala) with fireplace, traditional chandeliers, separate entrance and office with bookcases, separate entrance and traditional chandeliers. Living room and office are connected by two arched doorways. Sharing the office wall is another casita with large shower and closet, small kitchen with full-size refrigerator, two-burner stove and microwave oven.

FOUR. Master suite with fireplace, two walk-in closets, master bath withshower and tub, double sink, toilet and bidet. Master has two entrances.

Sharing the master suite wall is a spacious bedroom with large shower and closet and traditionalchandeliers.

Sharing the large bedroom wall is a utility room with washer/dryer, cabinetry and storage area.

All buildings open onto the courtyard. casita one, the living room, office and casita two have window views of the surrounding terrain as well.

At dawn - or later - guests may enjoy a leisurely breakfast, in either the stone dining room, or on the patios outside the kitchen/dining building. As you face the courtyard and fountain, sunrise in the eastern sky comes alive with a breathtaking array of colors. 

Soft evening hours featuring spectacular sunsets and warm breezes, as you lounge on the rear patio and barbecue deck, delight all who crave ease and relaxation after a day's adventuring in and around San Miguel. Cocktails and dinner are available, or you can bring your own. Lively sunset gatherings at day's end have become a hacienda tradition.
